This house was originally owned by Clarance Amadon who was a renowned forester.  Later he came to Bell Laboratories where he directed the research on telephone poles.  Amadon was the one who originated the "telephone pole farm" that is still visible today at the Bell Laboratories facility in Chester, NJ.
