Dear Scouts and parents,

Members of the troop participated in a fun and challenging canoe trek at the Sabattis Adventure Camp in the beautiful Adirondacks in upstate New York. Troop 41 made yet another solid showing at our second year at Camp Winnebago summer camp. The Scouts had a lot of fun, made great strides in advancement and won the Gate Way competition (again), Honor Scout, Patrols and Troop, cooking contest and old man of the mountain shooting competition. Seven Scouts from the Troop attended Trail to Eagle, which brings older Scouts together to focus on required merit badges, tips for the Eagle project and completion of the paperwork.

The first Court of Honor scheduled for October 13 will be full of pictures and tales of the summer madcap mayhem. Be sure to contact me if you need a Scoutmaster conference and Mr. Watrous to schedule a Board of Review before the COH.

This year is going to be one of the best. The PLC has planned some great adventures -- The State Police Camporee in Sea Girt NJ, Cabin Camping at Glen Gray, the Appalachian Trail, the Freeze Out and other exciting trips await you. Don't miss a single one.
