Troop Committee Meeting
All adult leaders and parents are welcome to attend the next Committee meeting on Wednesday April 2nd. The agenda always includes planning for upcoming Troop events to support the program. The location is the Community Church at 7:30pm on the first Wednesday of each month. We meet in one of the classrooms on the second floor.

Webelos Bridging Ceremony
April 4th - Wildwood School - The Troop is looking forward to welcoming the Webelos 2 Den, and hope they are able to join us for the April 11th Campout, as well as the many other fun filled and educational activities we have planned.

Scouting for Food
Reminder from Mr. Hoffman that the bags should have been distributed this past weekend and picked up on Saturday the 5th, per the instruction sheet. Only distribute bags to your route that you will then be picking up, as we don't want contributions to go uncollected. This is a worthwhile effort and benefits the community.

April Campout
Location has changed to Camp No-Be-Bosco (North Bergen Boy Scouts) near Blairstown, New Jersey, as Forestberg was not available. We look forward to spending quality time with the new Scouts (those joining us from the Webelos) and want to help them achieve Scout Rank in time for the May Court of Honor. Permission slip is attached. Adult support is still needed. We have Jim Wangsness confirmed to help drive, and Andrew Charwat joining Mr. Kohler (leaving early Sunday).

Please bring permission slips and checks Monday the 31st or April 7th. Thank you.

May Court of Honor
This will be May 5th, and Scouts are encouraged to complete their next Rank and any merit badges in progress in time for this ceremony. Next Court of Honor will be in the Fall.

May Campout
The weekend has been moved a week earlier in order to get reservations at Sandy Hook National Park. Mr. Kohler has been able to locate a company that offers deep sea fishing for Saturday morning that will be a great experience for the Scouts. Scouts not wanting to go out on the water will have alternative activities available. Please alert Mr. Kohler if you are planning to go but not fishing. Please keep an eye out for more information and permission slip. Let's have a great turn out.

Summer Camp
Summer Camp is great fun with opportunities to swim, boat, enjoy the outdoors and earn merit badges. Camp Winnebago is nearby, north of Hibernia on Route 513. Reminder that early registration will save $25 off the weekly fee, which is due to us by mid April. Following that, cost will increase from $300 to $325 for the week. First year Scouts will be able to get the discounted fee up to the July camp date. Indication of who is joining the Troop for Summer Camp will allow us to plan appropriately. Ellen Martin (emartin@bear.com) has volunteered to help with coordination this year, and is eagerly awaiting word of who is going so we can gather medical forms, registration fees, and establish adult coverage for the week.
