Morris View Birthday Club
Town Club volunteers brighten the day for residents of Morris View Nursing Home
Each month, an intrepid band of Town Club volunteers, armed with donated flowers, favors, ice cream, and a festive cake, bring birthday cheer to elderly residents of Morris View Nursing Home.
We brave the complex and confusing layout of the center, scan the rec rooms and hallways to round up residents whose birthday falls in the current month, and wheel them downstairs to the party room to celebrate. Few residents turn down the opportunity for diversion and cake!
- We visit the nursing home on the third Thursday of every month.
- We meet in front of the Mountain Lakes Library at 12:30pm and return by 2:40pm [or you can meet us @Morris View].
- Children and babies are welcome!
VOLUNTEERS are needed!
The more helping hands we have, the smoother it goes, because there is quite a bit of schlepping involved. More volunteers make a more festive atmosphere too!
Give just 2 hours a month, and know you've made a positive difference in someone's day.
