Mountain Lakes

Spring Clean-Up - Volunteers needed!

Mountain Lakes has always been known for an amazing spirit of volunteerism.  Be it in the schools, on the fields of play, or in the many boards and communities that help run this town.  People of various back grounds and expertise all share a common passion to serve our community and preserve what we value for future generations.  The third week of April this spirit of volunteerism will be in "full bloom" as we look to clean up after a long tough winter.

Please lead efforts with a group or team that you are a part of and select a targeted location on the attached list to dedicate a few hours to help it recover by picking up trash and removing any large branches.  Our collective efforts will serve two purposes - the first being to clean the designated areas second to reinvigorate the spirit of volunteerism alongside member of the community of all ages and appreciate what we can accomplish when we come together as Lakers!

For all volunteering activities it is recommended to wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, and bring gloves.  Other specific clothing recommendations will be provided by the Group Leader.  Also please plan to take pictures and send them in to webmaster@mtnlakes.org so they can be posted on the town website.  Finally, don't forget to call DPW at 973-334-1577 and let them know the location of any bags of trash for pick-up when you are done.  Thank you!!!
