5. Tower Hill Sled Run
Between 50 & 62 Tower Hill Road
The Sled Run was constructed during the 1950's when a Pollard Road resident complained about the fact that his road was always closed for sledding. The Sled Run is almost 1500 feet and once had a flood light for nighttime sledding, which doesn't work anymore. The land was originally intended to be a network of residential streets, however the area was never finished since Hapgood went bankrupt in 1923. A few stone foundations can still be seen, which are probably from houses begun by Hapgood, but never completed.
