- Latex Paints: These are not hazardous and should be dried out and disposed of with the regular trash. To dry out, remove the lid and add an absorbent material, such as cat litter or newspaper, to absorb the moisture. Throw the dried paint can out with the trash.
- Empty Containers: Once a container is empty, it is no longer hazardous and should be disposed of with the recyclables or trash in the normal manner.
- Unknown Materials: If unlabeled or unidentifiable, the waste may or may not be acceptable depending upon its physical characteristics. Call for more information.
- Over 220 lb. of Business Waste: Large quantity hazardous waste generators can not participate in the Morris County's HHW program.
