| We are again ready to begin a new year of activities and programs. I am sure that our intellectually stimulating speakers, trips and other programs will be of interest to many more people than we have seen at our meetings. So come and join us! |
| We meet every Friday at 12:45 PM at St. Catherine's Community Center, Mountain Lakes, starting with a social time and refreshments. We have no membership dues but residents pay $1 and non residents $2 to attend our meetings. Every Friday we have interesting speakers on various topics such as music, art, environmental issues, philosophy and health. Check the list of programs as planned through December so you can see what is being offered. |
| You will see that we start our season with the popular yearly picnic at Island Beach on Sunday, September 9, at 1 PM. This is particularly fun since it is the first get together after the summer where we have the opportunity to catch up with our friends after a summer of vacations and trips. Please, bring to the picnic an entree if your last name starts with A-H, dessert if it starts with I-L and appetizer if it starts with M-Z. Don't forget beach chairs. |
| The first regular meeting of the season is September 14 where we have our yearly travel talk with slides by Alan Levin on India and Pakistan. Alan has packed the house on every visit. |
