55 PLUS The purpose of this Group is to offer stimulating, useful and relevant programs for Senior Citizens while providing an opportunity to meet and socialize with one another.  We have a variety of excellent Speakers, each an authority on his/her respective subject.  Day trips are organized to local points of interest.  While there is no membership and no dues, meeting attendees are asked to contribute - $1 residents, $2 non-residents.  All are welcome to the meetings held on Fridays from Sept. thru May at 12:45 pm in the Conference Room of St. Catherine's Church on the Boulevard and Pocono Rd.

Friends Of The Arts Friends Of The Arts is a non-profit organization of parents, teachers, and, administrators committed to supporting and advocating the visual and performing arts in the Mountain Lakes School District.  FOTA creates an awareness of the benefits derived from students' participation in arts programs and recognizes the achievements of individual and group efforts.  For information, contact Linda Castelluci (e-mail)

Home & School Association A nonprofit organization that serves as a liaison group between the schools and the home for the benefit of the students, thereby strengthening the lines of communication between the schools and the community.  For more information, please contact LaVonne Feigeles, President.  The H&SA also publishes The Bulletin a monthly publication with current community information.
Lake Drive Foundation The The Lake Drive Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation, was established by community leaders in 1996 for the express purpose of raising funds and establishing an endowment for The Sound Start Early Intervention Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Babies. Under the auspices of Lake Drive School, The Sound Start Program provides children with hearing loss and families from throughout Northern and Central New Jersey the vital support and comprehensive educational and therapeutic services they need during the first three years of life to realize their full potential. State funding covers only a portion of the comprehensive services babies and toddlers with hearing loss need to achieve. Fundraising initiatives includes grant writing, an annual appeal, the annual For The Babies Gala in May, and an online shopping promotion through Amazon.com. Every child deserves a sound start. Lakeland YMCA The Lakeland Hills Family YMCA is a not-for-profit association offering programs for all ages including Fun & Fitness classes and Aquatics lessons.  The facility includes: 6-lane Pool, Basketball Gymnasium, Weight & Fitness Training Center, Group Fitness Studio, Indoor Cycling Room, Early Childhood Learning Center, Summer Day Camp, Outdoor Pavilion and Picnic area, children's playground, and Kids Club after school care.
Lakers Sports Club A non-profit group that annually raises funds through membership and fundraisers to enhance the athletic program of Mountain Lakes High School.  LSC is the organization behind the GOTTURF? Field project. For more information contact president, Maria Cuccinello.
League of Women Voters A nonpartisan, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government
MacDowell Club A convivial group of enthusiasts dedicated to the appreciation of Music, Drama and the Allied Arts.
Medical Needs Foundation A non-profit tax exempt community-based group that provides financial assistance to those families in need due to the onset of a catastrophic or chronic illness.  Application for Assistance Form available for individuals residing in and around the community of Mountain Lakes.  The signature fundraiser for the organization is the Annual Spirit 5K on Sunday, October 19, 2008.  Read the Spirit 5K Newsletter.  For more information on this event contact Tiffany Palisi.
Mountain Lakes Club A private club located at a very scenic spot on the Lake.  This Mountain Lakes historic landmark has tennis, swimming pool, and many social activities.  The newly renovated clubhouse offers year-around dining, a members lounge which features a great fireplace and a full-service bar, and even a genuine old-fashioned bowling alley.
Mountain Lakes Educational Foundation To attract resources to support educational enrichment opportunities for the Mountain Lakes community and to sponsor programs and facilities to enhance the education of students and community members both during and outside of regular school hours.

Mountain Lakes Organic Coop We are a small local cooperative specializing in organic fruits & vegetables.  We also get a number of dairy products, meats and packaged goods.  Wednesday is produce day, when fruit and vegetable baskets are prepared for the members.  Items and quantities will vary according to availability, price and case size.  Home delivery is available.  Visit our site or call Marnie Vyff at 973-335-4469.
Mountain Lakes Sailing Association Every Sunday in the summer you can see the local sailors on Mountain Lake.  All are welcome.
Mountain Lakes Stay At Home Parents Club This is a group on Yahoo groups for Stay-at-Home Mothers in Mountain Lakes.  It's purpose is to be social network for Mountain Lakes children to meet, play, make friends and have a good time.  Membership is open to all stay at home parents, nannies and grandparents who care for children that reside in Mountain Lakes, NJ.  Our monthly social calendar can have playground, beach and at home play dates and trips to zoos, children's museums, orchards, children's indoor amusement places, etc as well as themed and/or seasonal parties.  Any member can plan and add an event to our calendar.  Members do not pay any fee to join or even to retain membership later.
Mountain Lakes Swimming Association A summer swim program available to all Mountain Lakes Children.  The Season goes from mid June to early August.  Practices are at Birchwood Beach. 
Mountain Lakes Woman's Club A local chapter of the State Federation of Woman's Clubs, it was founded in 1914.  Among several current charitable activities, it edits and distributes the Resident Telephone Directory to every home in the Borough.  Funds raised are contributed to a variety of programs benefiting the community as a whole.  Special programs are focused on local Nursing Homes and an Abused Woman's Shelter.  For more information, contact: Marion Goodyear or call Joanne LeBlanc(973-442-7604)
Municipal Alliance Committee (MAC) A Borough committee of parents, police, clergy, and educators whose mission is to prevent and reduce drug and alcohol use among our youth through parent education, alternative recreational and service activities for children, and coordination of prevention efforts among town organizations.  Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm  at Borough Hall.  For information contact Denise Brennan or Richard Urankar.
Nite Owls The Nite Owls is a social organization whose purpose is to provide evening social activities and networking opportunities through monthly night-time meetings.  In addition the Nite Owls support and organize an annual fund raising effort for a predetermined charity.
Park Lakes Tennis Club A club for people who like to play tennis.  Located on Rainbow Trail in Mountain Lakes, the club has 5 clay tennis courts and 3 lighted paddle tennis courts.  The facilities include plenty of parking, bathrooms, showers, viewing platform, modest clubhouse, and membership directory.  The club has socials, lessons, a tennis pro, and inter-club competitions.  A popular feature is "scrambles" during designated hours where you can come by yourself, meet fellow members, and play as much as you want even if you don't know anyone.  E-mail contact.
Roots & Wings Since 1999, the Roots & Wings Foundation has provided nurturing support, practical life skills and housing to teenagers who have aged out of the child welfare system.  It is a collaborative, community-based volunteer organization that assists this high-risk population of disadvantaged youth in replacing dependency with self-sufficiency.
Town Club The Town Club of Mountain Lakes is a social and community service organization dedicated to improving the community and providing interesting social and educational opportunities for its members.
Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce A voluntary organization to promote and support industrial, retail and professional business within the towns of Boonton, Boonton Township and Mountain Lakes

Woods and Lakes Run The Annual Woods and Lake Run will be held on April 26, 2008 at 10 am.  Start and finish at Birchwood Lake, Mountain Lakes.  It is open to anyone 30 years and over.  There is both a 5k and 10k race.  The course is a scenic, mostly flat loop through woods and around lakes.  Running surfaces will include macadam walk-ways, gravel paths and scenic wooded trails. There may be mud, logs, and other challenging obstacles.  The only run of its kind east of the Mississippi.

Pre-registration is required in order to get a unique limited-edition T-shirt.  A $25.00 fee is required of all participants.  Unique prizes are awarded in all age categories.  Volunteers are needed to help.  More informationRace application form.
