WOMEN'S ACTIVITIES
All women of the Church are members of the Women's Association. Its purpose is to develop Christian fellowship, service, and cooperation among all women of The Community Church, and to foster one another's spiritual development. Women are represented on the Church Council.
Some activities have been: participation in women's retreats, the Community Blood Drive, pot-luck dinners, "MET trips", Broadway plays, bazaars, the Annual Bridge/Card party and morning coffees.
Although our general activies are enjoyed by all, probably the most meaningful and long-lasting satisfaction comes from belonging to one of the fellowship groups that fall under the umbrella of the Women's Association. Many of our groups have been active for years, others are newer.
Here is a partial list of groups:
- Group 9 -- fundraising & cultural projects including museum trips, SCRIPS, fall game party, etc.
- Group 10 -- service projects, weddings, library, altar flowers, etc.
- Knit Knackers -- mother/daughter knitting
- Stitches -- needlework (any kind) for friends, family,and charity
- Women's Bible Study
