Planting for the Future The Borough will be planting 100 trees on our streets this fall. These trees have been grown by Cerbo's at their Sussex county tree farm. We have a mix of elms (dutch elm disease resistant, most of which are now 15 to 20 feet tall), dogwoods (pink and white variety), red maples, and hedge maples (a shorter variety that turns yellow in the fall). The shade tree commission is in the process of identifying planting sites on our streets that will maintain our town's character as a tree lined community. Some residents have been contacted already if the right of way that abuts their property has been designated as a possible site for a tree or trees. If you think the right of way (area between the road and your property) that abuts your property would benefit by the addition of a tree please contact the shade tree commission and we will try to accommodate your request.
