Logo Presentation: Carisa Wangsness and Lili Rosenstreich

The committee would like to commend Jane, Lili and Carisa for doing a phenomenal job working with Laura Wilder to develop our new logo.

Lili will act as the coordinator of the logo.  Important to monitor the colors due to printer variation.

After a long discussion regarding the use of the logo by other organizations, it was decided to set up a separate merchandising/ logo meeting to review our options.

Carisa agreed to check on pricing for potential patches.

Fundraising:  Jane Hayward

Jane and Kelly met with Barry Lewis, Mark Prusina and the Borough engineer to discuss the two proposed centennial capital projects. ($50,000 budget)

1.      A full wall and pavers at the cove- Would cost approximately $100,000 and limit the availability of parking. A suggestion was made to consider a modified wall with bushes incorporated into the design.

2.      A pillar on both sides of the Boulevard just past the stoplight near Borough Hall-  The budget would be able to cover the expense to complete the pillars but not the wall where the plaques would be mounted.

An alternative proposal from our committee would be to use a large boulder to mount a centennial plaque.  The DPW would be willing to make a public access to the boulder.  It fits well in our community and would be cost effective.

It was decided that the committee will present our recommendations to the Council at the May 24th meeting.  Blair suggested that we include a visual rendition and a timeline.  Now that the logo is complete, the proposed banner will also be included in the committee’s presentation.

The committee would like to officially thank Kelly and Jane for working with the borough reps on this important project!

Communication Update:

A draft of the letter to be distributed to all residents through the neighborhood liaisons was distributed.  Stephanie requested that committee members review and give her feedback.  The listing of committee members on the new logo will be rearranged:  Stephanie first as chair, members listed alphabetical, followed by liaisons. A voice mail number will also be included.

Craftsman Farms:

A fabulous resource with many opportunities for tie-ins to our Centennial.

The committee trip on May 27th has been confirmed.  The tour is at 11:00 followed by a picnic.  Kris will arrange details for our picnic provided by Sergio’s.

Missing Links to the Centennial:

The following organizations need to be included in our plans:  YMCA and MacDowell Club.  Committee members are asked to consider potential ideas.  Blair has contact information for the MacDowell Club.

A list of challenge categories for the neighborhood groups was distributed.  Stephanie would like committee members to review.
